What is in this Issue?

Toy Times Comments

The Fall Farm Show Edition of The Toy Tractor Times will look over the collectors items from past shows as well has highlight items too look for at the 2003 shows. Fall farm shows are a great place to see the latest and greatest farm equipment on display. AGCO, CNH and John Deere all put on combine and tillage demonstration. Many short line brands are also a major part of the shows. Both Ertl and Scale Models have provided several nice collectors pieces to the Fall Farm Shows this year.

To start the fall season out for 1/64 displayers this month "Down on the Model Farm" looks a making a 1/64 corn field. Corn is a popular crop and being able to create a nice looking 1/64 corn field is always a hot topic. The Toy Tractor Times will show you how to make a nice looking field of corn for less than $15 in this issue.

Thank you for all of your interest in the 2003 TTT Anniversary tractor. We are getting a strong response to the Allis-Chalmers 7030. The AGCO Today Magazine is going to feature in their next issue coming out in November. AGCO Today is available at no charge at AGCO dealers across North America. Speaking of November, the 15th of November is the deadline to order the 7030 model. TTT will have an updated proto-type from Ertl with new front tires and additional pain detail at the National Toy Show.

The National is about a month and a half away now. Toy Farmer always puts on a great show and collectors every where are looking forward to the big show. The Toy Tractor Times table will be located in the National Farm Toy Museum again this year. Rick Larsen TTT’s founder and myself will be at the table and we hope you will stop by. Toy Tractor Show.com will also have its annual get together on Saturday night of the National at the Country Junction Restaurant located in front of the Museum. Every welcome to come and meet other TTS-Times members over dinner.

The Toy Tractor Times is growing thanks to the many new subscriptions arriving each month.  We appreciate your interest in the magazine.  With the release of the September issue, for the first time The Toy Tractors Times is being read by toy tractor collectors in every Canadian Providence from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.   Many thanks to our neighbors to the North for their support of TTT.

Next month TTT will high light the fall corn harvest. We will look at combines, pickers and grain systems.  If you would like to join the TTT author list or share an article please contact  Michael Henry at michaelghenry@yahoo.com.

Until the next "Times"

About The Cover: Fall Farm Shows are exciting events for farmers and equipment fans. AGCO, CNH, John Deere and a variety of other equipment makers use the fall farm shows to present their products. One of the big events at the shows are field demonstrations. Combine demonstrations in corn and tillage trials are the main attraction in the field. Farmers have a chance to evaluate the machines as they run side-by-side with the competition. This month The Toy Tractor Times salutes the field demonstrations with a 1/64 farm scene.

Do not forget to order the 2003 20th Anniversary Toy Tractor Times tractor.   The 1973 Allis-Chalmers 7030 is the 18th Toy Tractor Times Tractor and the first of five tractors to come in a series of 1970's collectors tractors from TTT.  The 7030 features the 1973 AC black mask cab,  maroon belly and 7030 decals.  The tractor has 36 inch row crop duals with die-cast rims.  The AC 7030 will be packaged in a special package.   You  can order the 7030 through November  15, 2003 by clicking here
