Our short summer is coming to an end and the cold fall weather will start to roll in soon.  This is actually good news to collectors.  Not only does this mean we can look forward to the new fall releases, but it also lets us know the National Farm Toy Show is just around the corner.    The National show is where a lot of us will find the special show edition tractors as well as the special event OEM tractors that don’t make to the smaller shows.  The new released toys are often promoted by farm toy shows and these special OEM events.  John Deere is a major contributor to these special event tractors and we will be taking a look at some of the tractors offered in the last decade.

The John Deere Aftermarket 2000 events ran during the mid 1990's.  I have found 5 versions of these special tractors dating 1993 – 1996.

1993 offered the first two toys in the series.  The first, a 7800 row crop has a silver sticker on the cab top which reads "John Deere Customer Round up Aftermarket Expo 93".  The other, a 7800 FWA has a similar silver sticker, but this time has the word "Servicegard" added to the sticker.

In 1994 a 7600 FWA was offered.  A green sticker was used with the wording.  "John Deere Expo '94 New Orleans Aftermarket 2000 Starting Now"  The box has a more specific date of January, 16-30 1994.

1995 saw the return to the 7800.  This time with dual wheels were used.  The multi colored sticker on the cab reads "John Deere Aftermarket 2000 St Louis 95 Achieving the Vision.

The last model in the series, produced in 1996 is the 6200 FWA.  A stamped print on the hood reads, "People Make the Difference".
