This month The Toy Tractor Times highlights the fall corn harvest with feature articles on corn combines, grain trucks and grain storage systems. There are articles looking at 1/16 and 1/164 corn combines. Dave Tallon shares tips on building a grain truck. TTT also shares two articles on 1/64 grain bins. TTT highlights toys of the past in October including John Deere, Caterpillar and Allis-Chalmers. Dan Adamson reviews the 1/64 Sound-Gard tractors of the 70's and 80's as we await the new castings in the 4430, 4440 and 4450 set to be released by Ertl in November. Doug Harke looks back at 1/16 Caterpillar crawlers. TTT would like to congratulate Doug on his upcoming induction in to the National Toy Hall of Fame next month. Our Allis-Chalmers feature is from Nick Zuilick a TTT reader who has created a full AC line up from tractors to implements to combines. Speaking of Allis-Chalmers there is only one month left to order the 2003 1/16 Toy Tractor Times 20th Anniversary Allis-Chalmers 7030. The order cut off date for the 7030 is November 15, 2003. TTT will be taking 7030 orders at the National Toy Show next month and the proto-type of the model will be on display at our table located in the National Farm Toy Museum. Rick Larsen the founder of TTT and myself will be at the TTT table through out the National Farm Toy Show November 7,8, and 9. We look forward to seeing you there. I also hope you will stop by the Country Junction Restaurant located next to the National Farm Toy Museum on Saturday November 8, for the 3rd annual Toy Tractor Show.com get together. We have reservations for the dinner at 6:30 p.m. one half hour after the National Show closes on Saturday evening. The Toy Tractor Times is growing and hopefully by next month we will have a winner of the Toy Tractor Times John Deere 4040 Anniversary Tractor with the addition of the 200th new subscriber. I would also like to remind 6 month subscribers who joined back in April with our first e-issue it is time to renew. Next month TTT will high light the National Farm Toy Show. f you would like to join the TTT author list or share an article please contact Michael Henry at michaelghenry@yahoo.com. Until the next "Times" Jay |

| About The Cover: Corn Harvest is a busy time on the farm. This months cover is a mid-1970's corn harvest scene in 1/64. There is all sorts of action. The Oliver 7800 combine is full and waiting, the IH Loadstar truck is unloading into the batch dryer powered by a Case 2670 and a Versatile 950 is plowing under the corn stubble prepping the field for next spring. This month TTT looks at corn combines, grain trucks, bins and more fall topics. |
