As I type this issue the long hot days of summer have set in. I must apologize that this issue of TTT was slightly delayed. The issue ended up being much larger than expected and took a few more days to bring together. There are 16 articles for your reading pleasure with this months wheat harvest theme and some stars and stripes topics added for the 4th of July. Many readers are eager to know the 2003 TTT Anniversary tractor . We have decided to hold off the announcement one more month. The TTT tractor has traditionally been released on the August cover since 1986 and we will hold with tradition. This model will serve as the Toy Tractor Times 20th Anniversary tractor as well as launch a new series of TTT Anniversary tractors for our readers and other collectors to follow over the next few years. Look for the full story next month. Here are a few more hints. In the year this tractor was built the Sears Tower was completed making it the tallest building in the world, President Nixon was sworn in for a second term, and "All in the Family" was the most popular show on TV. Last month I mentioned this tractor was a long awaited new tractor for its company. One of its stand out features is its bandit like black mask painted around the front windshield. In August the Toy Tractor Times marks 20 years of Linking the Chain of Farm Toy Collectors together. In addition to our 20th Anniversary model announcement the August issue will highlight interesting topics and articles in TTT's 20 years as well as an article about the magazines founders Rick and Linda Larsen. Until the next "Times" Jay |

| About The Cover:
Building displays is one of the fun parts of the 1/64 hobby. This month "Down on the Model Farm" talks about the types of combines on the market today, modern 1/64 combines on the market and how to build a wheat field. The cover picture is a field from Jason Hasert's display. This scene reflects the wheat harvest from 1989 on a farm in Jason's home town of Churchville, NY. For several years Jason has collected models found on the farm in the 1980's. Here we see a scratch built 6620 Titan II and IH loadstar built by Jason Jeffers, a Majorette White Road Boss semi, Ertl IH 1066 and custom JD 346 kick baler made by Gordy Schultz in the late 80's. Learn more about making your own wheat harvest display in this months issue. |

| Kid's Corner:
Christopher is a 5 year old pedal farmer and avid reader of The Toy Tractor Times. He is a John Deere fan and likes to play with CaseIH toys too. Christopher's grandfather worked for John Deere for a number of years and his dad collects Farmall Super M toys. Christopher would really like to play with Dad's 100 years of IH super M-TA but has to settle for his pedal John Deere A, which provides hours of fun.
