How
to customize a John Deere 4320
By Joel White

This
month I will show you how to customize a John Deere 4320.
I will show how to take the cab off, add fenders , R.O.P.S, new tires and
a 3-point hitch. Step one is to remove the tires. To remove the tires you need
to wiggle the tires back and forth and pull on them until they come off.
They should come off easily.

Step
two, remove the cab. To remove the
cab is pretty simple. When you take
the tires off you will see the place to remove the cab. After you remove the cab, take the R.O.P.S off of the 4020,
take the fenders off also. The
tires come off the same way as the 4320. Then
place the new ROPS and fenders onto the 4320.

The
next step is to put the 3-point hitch on. I
use a Moores 3-point hitch. To put this on, use JB weld or super glue. I use JB
weld that sets in 4 minutes. You
might have to trim your 3-point to get it to fit correctly. Once you get the
3-point in place, mix your JB weld be sure to read your directions!!!!
It is very important!!! Once
you get the JB weld mixed up put it on the 3-point and place it in the place you
want it and you will have to hold it or set it up against something so it
won’t fall down .

This tractor has 20.8-38 duals.
The
next step is to place the new rubber tires on your toy.
To do this you will need new tires.
There are many different sizes for these tractors they include 18.4-38,
18.4-34, 20.8-38 and 18.4-42. I’m
using 18.4-42 singles on this tractor. The
axle will need to be cut 11/2 inches long. Place it thru the axles holes on the
4320 you will need to drill the axle hole out with a 3/32 drill bit to make the
axle fit. You need 3/32 size brass rod for the axle.
To put the new rubber tires on get a small hammer and tap on the end of
the brass rod into the hole in the tire rim and slide it into the tractor and
put the other tire and rim on the same way.
If there is any excess rod that you don’t want on the tractor, trim it
off with your side cut pliers. Now
you have a customized 4320.

I
would like to stress to the read the directions on the JB weld. There is a guy
that heated his JB weld up pretty hot, he done this because he wanted it to dry
faster. It put him in the hospital for 6 months and almost killed him.
So please read the directions and don’t heat it up.
Until
next month,
Joel
