St. Louis 2007 Edition
The 2007 St. Louis Toy Show moved to an exciting new location at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet Hotel.   The show has been hosted for 26 years by Roy and Audrey Baker.   The Bakers had a monumental task this year moving the show to a new hotel.  The new hotel offered nicer accommodations and large ball rooms for toy dealers.    There are also several good restaurants in the hotel for collectors to meet for dinner and catch up about good finds at the show.

The Bakers have done an excellent job in keeping the St. Louis Show as one of the premier farm toy shows in the country.  St. Louis always has a great selection of farm toys and friendly people.

Stefanie and I want to thank our friends Jarod and April for packing up with us and heading out in the snow to St. Louis this year.  Jarod and April were a big help in running the TTT  table.  We also enjoy the opportunity to visit with Toy Tractor Times members at great Shows like St. Louis.  Thank you to every one who joined, renewed or purchased a  TTT tractor at St. Louis.

Stefanie and I are already looking forward to St. Louis 2008.  We hope you enjoy the nine Toy Tractor Times TV segments on the 2007 show this month.

Until Next Times.............

Jason and Stefanie Hasert

Collector Find of the Month:
Jason Dalton, Early Custom 4wd
You never know what you might find at the St. Louis Toy Show. Jason Dalton scours every show looking for rare 1/64 items. At the 2007 St. Louis Show Jason found a custom made 1/64 Massey Ferguson 1800.

This model is made of metal and is most likely a custom made piece for the early

1980's. If you are interested in the evolution of custom farm toys this Massey Ferguson is a interesting piece. You never know what you might find in a junk box at a toy show. It may be your next treasure. Jason paid $20 for this model.

Featured My Website of the Month:
Matt Hirtzel is a well known toydealer too many on Toy Talk. To help report on the 2007 St. Louis Toy Show, Matt created a blog on My Website to report on a toy dealers perspective of the show. Follow Matt from packing for the show, setting up, seeing the show and heading home.

Early Farm Toy Collecting
The earliest farm toy shows were not held until 1978 but collectors were active since the late 1960’s by going to antique toy shows.

St Louis has always been a good show. I have only been able to get there once, but it was a great show and I had a good time.

Next 'Times

The March Toy Tractor Times will focus on CaseIH and its innovation in farm equipment.  CaseIH has two big anniversaries in 2007. We will celebrate 20 years of the  Magnum tractor and 30 years of the Axial-Flow combine.   Look for lots of Toy Tractor Times TV on CaseIH history.  We will highlight CaseIH machines like the Magnum, Axial-Flow, Quadtrac and more that have set industry standards.
